Ruth Wilson

Ruth Wilson has won two Olivier Awards as well as a Golden Globe Award. She has made her Broadway premiere in Nick Payne's Constellations in the role of Jake Gyllenhaal. The actress is most well-known for playing Alison Lockhart on the Showtime drama "The Affair" that earned her the Golden Globe Award. Some of her films include The Little Stranger, Dark River, I Am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House, Suite FranASSaise, Locke, Saving Mr. Banks, The Lone Ranger as well as Anna Karenina. The Donmar Warehouse, she received Olivier Awards as Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress respectively, in the film Anna Christie with Jude Law. The National Theatre was nominated for The Olivier Award as Best Actress in Hedda Gabrieller. For television, Wilson starred in the highly praised BBC show "Luther," which was nominated for 8 Emmy Awards. "Luther," a BBC series Jane Eyre earned her nominations for BAFTA and Golden Globes, in The category for Best Lead Actress. In 2007 her London stage debut was in Maxim Gorky's Philistines.
