Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on the 30th of December 1986. Ellie Goulding, a British musician and singer who gained fame in 2010 after her hit songs Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed received a lot of attention from the media. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. With her distinctive soprano voice and knack for composing catchy yet emotionally earnest tracks, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap, stands at the forefront of contemporary mainstream music and arty, independent-minded pop.Goulding quickly moved from the blogosphere to print media, gaining the attention of mainstream magazines like The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels. Polydor Records, a major music label, signed Goulding and was preparing to release Goulding's debut album.
