Niykee is still writing songs despite having been caught up in the recent turmoil. Her selection was made for her participation in YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and he accompanied her on stage. "Even when I don't write about my own life in the open, the sadness of losing my sister as well as my difficult childhood is incorporated into my songs," she says. The resulting music is shaped by my experiences and gives it a deeper significance, something I consider extremely important.
