Sofia and Ann

Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco. She relocated to California as a child. She grew up primarily living in Orange County. In 2015, she graduated from University of California San Diego and got her first break as an actress. Pernas has made brief appearances on NCIS and Leverage before landing the role as Marisa in The Young and the Restless and was an established face on the soap opera. Following her departure from the soap-opera in the year 2016, she landed the role of a regular on Jane the Virgin as Catalina. The model, fluent in four different languages, is currently on The Brave and The Green Ghost as Hannah Rivera. She also played in the Secret Society of Second Born Royals. From 2019 through 2020, she appeared as Lexi Vaziri in Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas is dating Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. This relationship started when Chrishell Stause, the This Is Us actress split in November of 2018. News broke in May of 2021 about how Pernas and Hartley recently tied the knot in a secret ceremony. The character she played as in Bye Bye Birdie. The film which brought her fame as well as the most viewed pinup in 1963.
